Arizona State Week 3 injury report: Updates on Raleek Brown, Laterrance Welch, Jordan Crook and more

Raleek Brown (ankle)

Brown suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of Arizona State's 34-32 loss to BYU on Saturday. He did not return to the game and was seen on crutches after the game.

ASU coach Herm Edwards said after the game that Brown's injury is "not as bad as we thought." He is expected to miss ASU's game against NAU on Saturday, but could return for the team's Pac-12 opener against Utah on Sept. 24.

Laterrance Welch (undisclosed)

Welch left the BYU game in the first half with an undisclosed injury and did not return.

Edwards said after the game that Welch's injury is "day-to-day." He is expected to miss ASU's game against NAU on Saturday, but could return for the team's Pac-12 opener against Utah on Sept. 24.

Jordan Crook (foot)

Crook missed the BYU game with a foot injury.

Edwards said after the game that Crook's injury is "improving." He is expected to be available for ASU's game against NAU on Saturday.

Other injuries

In addition to Brown, Welch and Crook, ASU is also dealing with injuries to the following players:

  • DeAndre Pierce (ankle): Pierce is expected to miss the NAU game, but could return for the Utah game.
  • Ro Torrence (knee): Torrence is out indefinitely with a knee injury.
  • Jermayne Lole (hamstring): Lole is expected to miss the NAU game, but could return for the Utah game.

The Sun Devils will need to get healthy quickly as they prepare for a tough Pac-12 schedule.
